You’ve all heard it said at one time or another if you want to lose weight you first have to start with a proper diet and nutrition and exercise.The problem we have is what exactly is a proper diet. In other words what are we suppose to eat to achieve the desired weight lose or cutting of inches from our belly’s or thighs. Over the years articles upon articles have been written about what kinds of dieting works best and the one thing I have found in this day and time is that there is no one diet plan out there that works for everyone. We all live different lifestyles so what we have to do is find the proper diet and nutrition plan that fits our type of lifestyle. Studies have also shown that by having good nutrition that you are less likely to develop some of the modern day diseases that are in the world today.  So as you can see having a balanced diet is important for our health and overall well-being. By eating the correct foods, it will provide our bodies with the proper nutrients such as (protein, carbs, fats, vitamins and minerals) we need to live and grow and function properly in everyday life.

If your staying fit by exercising daily and eating the right foods then your body will be strong enough to handle the stresses of this life and even help fight off illnesses. Even at an early age if getting the proper diet and nutrition and exercising regularly then later on in life it will help you stay healthier. One of the benefits of regular exercise is that it helps build strength and pumps blood throughout the body thus improving the flow of nutrients within the body which will help you achieve your desired weight loss results that your looking for. What are the right foods to eat for a proper diet


When it comes to eating the right  foods this can be very confusing at first. There are so many choices in the kinds of foods to eat and how much of that food we are suppose to eat at any one time. So the first thing to keep in mind is that the intake of food for men will be slightly different than for women whether your just trying to maintain or lose weight. So we will first start with the foods that are high in protein. Remember protein is essentially the building block of the muscles, organs and skin etc. Aside from the Proteins we need for a balanced diet we also need the right amounts of carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals for a complete balanced nutrition. So take a look at the list below to get an idea of the foods we need to be putting in our bodies.

Foods that are high in Proteins. Chicken, eggs, oatmeal, almonds, milk, greek yogurt, brocolli, tuna, lean beef, whey protein supplements, lentils(plant-based proteins), Ezekiel bread, pumpkin seeds, turkey breast and peanut butter.

Foods that are enriched in Carbohydrates. Dairy, such as Milk, yogurt and ice cream. Fruits and fruit juices. Starchy vegatables, Potatoes and corn. And some sweets such as candy and desserts. Raisens, bagels, mango, banana’s, muffins, pasta’s and sweet potatoes are just a few more foods we eat on a daily bases that are enriched in carbs.

Vitamins and Minerals we need for a healthy diet.  Almost all the foods we eat contain some of the vitamins and minerals we need to promote a healty diet and lifestyle for our bodies. We need these vitamins and minerals to help us grow and to see, make our bones and teeth strong, and to help fight infections. One way to ensure you are getting the proper vitamins and minerals is to make sure you are getting fresh foods from the basic food groups i.e Diary, Fruit, Grain, Lean Meats and Vegatables.

As important as it is to have a proper diet to lose the weight you want to lose for a healthier lifestyle it is equally important to have a good exercise program to go by whether it is walking so many minutes a day or working out with with weights at home or in a gym. These days they are so many different types of workout programs such as (Circuit training, Aerobic training, High, medium and low intensity training )  designed around weight loss or even weight gain that it could be very confusing on where to start espectially if you are an absolute beginner. Regular exercising not only helps you in losing the weight or trimming the inches off your belly to look good but it can help protect you from other health problems such as heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, back pain and stress. So in essence if you are not doing some kind of physical activity or eating right there is a good chance you could be prone to these types of health problems.

The world as we know it today is obsessed with eating healthy and trying different fitness routines to look and feel our best. Medical professionals say a proper diet and nutrition will not only help you look and feel better but it can also help prevent certain physical and psychological diseases we have today. Personal trainers go a step further and say not only does a proper diet and nutrition help but that you also have to do some kind of physical activity as well such as walking, riding a bike or different fitness training programs. So to put it in a nutshell healthy eating and fitness go hand in hand and can be a  big lifestyle change for anyone. The benefits of health and fitness are really great, from not only looking and feeling your best but also for healthier living especially when you have aged on up in years.
